RoadGofer ("we," "us," or "our") operates the RoadGofer platform, including the mobile application and website located at roadgofer.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: Your name, company name, email address, and phone number provided during registration.
• Identity verification: A photo of your state-issued government ID, collected to verify your identity, establish chain of custody, and prevent theft or fraud. This document is stored securely and never shared with third parties except as required by law.
• Delivery information: Pickup and drop-off addresses, cargo descriptions, and delivery instructions you provide when placing orders.
• Location data: With your permission, we collect GPS coordinates to facilitate delivery routing and real-time tracking. Location data is only collected during active delivery sessions.
• Device and usage data: Browser type, operating system, IP address, and usage patterns to improve the Service and diagnose technical issues.
• Payment information: Payment card data is processed by our third-party payment processor (Stripe). We do not store your full card number on our servers.
• Biometric data: When you enable biometric login (Touch ID, Face ID, or Windows Hello), the biometric data is processed entirely on your device by your operating system. We do not receive or store raw biometric data.
• Push notification tokens: Device tokens used to deliver delivery status notifications. These are stored on our servers and used solely for push notification delivery.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Process and fulfill delivery orders
• Verify your identity and prevent fraud
• Match you with appropriate drivers and vehicles
• Provide real-time tracking and delivery status updates
• Send push notifications related to your deliveries
• Process payments through our payment processor
• Respond to customer service inquiries
• Comply with applicable laws and regulations

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

• Drivers: Drivers assigned to your deliveries receive your pickup and drop-off addresses and relevant cargo information necessary to complete the delivery.
• Payment processors: Stripe, Inc. processes payments on our behalf. Their use of your payment data is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.
• Mapping services: Google Maps is used to display routes and calculate distances. Address data is transmitted to Google in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy.
• Law enforcement: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account information and delivery history for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Identity verification documents are retained for a minimum of seven (7) years for fraud prevention and legal compliance purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at privacy@roadgofer.com.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted storage of sensitive data, and biometric authentication options. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information (subject to legal retention requirements)
